This is the final chapter in the first story arc for the Dark Nights series. Will Daredevil deliver the donor heart to save the little girl Hannah, in time? Will he die of hypothermia first? Will Wilson Fisk donate his oversize heart for the right amount of money? Naw, the Kingpin won’t go that far but he is at work here, even through all the snow.

I found that I needed a quick refresher of what had happened last issue as I began reading this issue. Having done that the story really came together very nicely in a tight and powerful tale. The last two pages are worth the price of the book alone. There’s Daredevil exhausted yet still on duty on the last page or as Foggy put it in the first page, “It’s like you’re trying to pay down a debt that never shrinks.” Lee Weeks gives the reader great inner monologue from Daredevil throughout the last half of the story, culminating in a heart tugging conclusion.

Weeks pencils are still strong through this final chapter as he added Sergio Cariello and Tom Palmer to help get the job done. Lee Loughridge colors are such a powerful part to this story. He really puts the reader in the bitterly cold snowstorm.

Strong conclusion to what should be remembered as one of the best stand alone Daredevil stories.
