Drunk on Comics 281: The Gravity of the Ball-sack

Linz and Josh are recording sans Tony again this week, while Tony is off pretending he has other friends (yeah……ok). If you have been going through McKay withdrawals, never fear, he will be back next week. We think.

Linz reviewed Samurai Jack: Quantum Jack #1 this week. Never having been a frequent viewer of the animated series, Linz still really enjoyed this book. It seems as though they will be introducing different versions of Jack through time/space/dimension. This first book centers around a mercenary version of Jack that seems to take place in a Mad Max type world. Things take a turn when Jack decides not fulfill his contract and starts seeing visions of a different version of himself. It will be really interesting to see where they take this story and how it all ties back to the traditional Samurai Jack story.

In news this week Linz managed to find more Jean Grey things to talk about (what?!).  Sabrina the Teenage Witch may be getting a dark TV adaptation, The Inhumans may be getting a short-lived TV adaptation, and Darren Aronofsky wants to direct a movie version of a comic fav.  The dynamic duo also talk about the new trailer for The Punisher Netflix series.

Booze and a Book this week was Snotgirl #7 paired with a Sidecar.
