Drunk on Comics Podcast 134: I Can See That
The fun never stops around here when Derek and Tony get together to record another great podcast. And with that starts some great reviews this week.
Tony had to do a little research halfway through reading Ant-man #1, but found that continuity with Scott Lang’s daughter is canon, which really makes him an everyday hero and not another overpowered one. It was an amazing first issue, and a must read for the creative writing and fantastic art.
Derek picked up Wolverines #1, and spoiled the hell out of the ending. But that in and of itself is a huge reason for picking this book up. It has wow factor all over it, and seriously is a reason why we are definitely putting it on our pull list for issue #2.
Indie Turnpike was Lady Killer #1. This book is incredibly well written, and the art has a gorgeous retro feel that must be seen.
Booze and a Book was mainly to highlight the fight against bullying. So we paired Avengers: No More Bullying #1 with any beer that the person next to you is having. Make a friend out of this week’s book and strike up a conversation over a good brew.
