Drunk on Comics Podcast 135: Not a Turkey
Kevin joined Tony and Derek this week for the show, which as always, makes for better banter all around.
Derek started off reviewing Thomas Alsop #8, which is the last in the entry of the 8 part series. It ends as it begins, and that is all we will say for now.
Tony got into the world of Rat Queens, with the one shot Rat Queens: Braga. It was a very interesting story, and although did not help him understand the world that makes up the comic book, it certainly made him want to go back and read the whole series. Also, the central issue of the main character being transgender was done with care and finesse.
Kevin brought up Amazing X-Men #15, which was an issue revolving around the Juggernaut. Tony and Derek missed it, but plan on going back to their shop to pick it up.
Indie Turnpike was Deep State #3, an amazing sci-fi horror story from BOOM! Studios.
Booze and a Book this week was O’Mara’s Irish Creme with coffee, paired with the BOOM! Box Mixtape 2014.
Best on Tap this week was the Action Figure variant of Star Wars #1 by John Tyler Christopher
