Drunk on Comics Podcast 224: Despite Twitters Rage, We Love Luke Cage

James, Linz and Tony get down to business like the olden days of the show, recording after a fun weekend of booze.   They is a distinct difference in Tony’s functionality recording before going out, or having him getting over his hang over with the hair of the dog.  Also, as what sometimes happens, the group had a technical glitch that they were able to recover from halfway through the show.  But they had a lot to talk about with all the news coming from New York City Comic Con.

They talked some time of the heroes of Netflix Defenders, as well as a newly named Villain.   Sigourney Weaver has recently been cast in the leading villain role, but and the team weighs in on who she might play.   Iron fist is looking great, being the next installment of the overall universe.   There are many people taking issue with Luke Cage, which is some of the stupidest “controversies” the group has heard of in the comic book realm.   Plus, they tied almost everything back to Luke Cage in some way.

Power Rangers debuted their new trailer, and it is beyond all of Tony’s expectation.  There isn’t much more needed to be said, it is that good.  The new Wolverine movie, Logan, has some new info, which has the group speculating more of what the movie will entail. Linz also reviewed Cannibals #1, which is a new take on the zombie genre.

Booze and a Book had the pairing of Warka (a polish beer) paired with Uncanny X-men #3 (vol 3), which is the debut of Magneto’s awesome current white uniform.
