Drunk on Comics Podcast 260: Interviews from Motor City Comic Con 2017 part 1

Linz and Tony are still recuperating from the fun they had the other weekend at Motor City Comic Con.   It was a long working weekend setting up contacts, networking and getting interviews from many different creators in the biz.   And while Tony edits them to get rid of the announcements, some background chatter or anything else that may take away from another amazing episode, it is always worth it to have the privilege to talk to some many talented people.

In this episode, we have Dirk Manning, who really doesn’t need an introduction.   He is always ready to chat with us about anything.  In particular, he loves to talk about what he’s working on, but we tried to get to know the many behind the book.   ( He also stole our recorder and was able to plug his stuff at the end)  But you can find him all over the internet, but more specifically at his Facebook group page.

Tony then chatted with Tracey Watkins, who has an amazing ability to draw.  His artwork stopped Tony while walking around the convention floor, and it is simply stunning.  Check out his work at Sketching Time Productions.  Linz spoke with Nick Seluk from The Akward Yeti.  They discussed games, comics and everything else that is coming out from their company.

Both Tony and Linz sat down with Chris Burnham to discuss the violent imagery of Nameless.  Chris talk a bit of what it was like working with a legend like Grant Morrison.   Chris also explained how that he tried to one up the art direction he was given with the gore he was to draw within the pages.
