Drunk on Comics Podcast 264: Bachelor-man Beyond
Tony, Linz, and Josh come together after Linz and Tony spent the weekend celebrating the upcoming nuptials of former DoC host Derek and his wife-to-be Mel. The two had awesome times but were definitely in recovery mode from the festivities. Josh was left being the only one with full use of his facalties, which makes for a fun recording session.
Linz started the show off with a review of Gwar: Orgasmaggedon. Linz is not a fan of Gwar (not to say that they are not awesome, she is just not a follower of that scene). That being said, she loved this book. It was fun and silly in a well written and well drawn way. The book follows the band as they get pushed to places in time, including a brief visit to Kurt Cobain’s last day. This comic can definitely make you appreciate Gwar for the band they are, even if you are not invited to this years annual Gwar-B-Q.
In news the crew covered the death of an icon (RIP Adam West), the shocking proposal in Batman #24, some sweet Stranger Things swag, and news of some upcoming TV shows, and Linz gushes over the Wonder Woman movie.
Booze and a Book this week was Batman #24 paired with Yuengling Lite and Best on Tap was the duo of covers from Dark Knight III: Master Race #9.
