Drunk on Comics Podcast 274: Speed Up The Notch

Tony came back from his camping trip completely red. So Linz and Josh made fun of him for it. For a while. Like they do. After the traditional opening of teasing, the gang got down to business discussing comic books and this weeks news.

Tony reviewed three books this week. Three! Nobody knew he could read that much! His reviews this week were New Gods Special #1, Batman #28, and Everafter: From the Pages of Fables #1. All these books were great in their own way and definitely really different from each other. Normally we would give you a brief snapshot of the review, but there were so many that this post would end up being TLDR. Linz reviewed Renegade #1 from local GR writer Jared Gafford and artist Tyler Sowles. A good first book, the story was set up nicely and definitely leaves the reader wanting more. The coloring of the book (Sara Sowles) adds a lot to the story and really adds to the book. Pick it up from your LCBS. Always take a chance on a local/independent artist. It usually pays off.

In news this week your hosts covered everything from internet rage over milkshakes and Domino to Lego’s and Batman and Thor (oh my). Check out the podcast for all the details on those subjects and more!

Best on Tap this week was Batman #28 (drawn by Mikel Janin) and Booze and a Book was Grumpy Cat Garfield #1 paired with I Hate Mondays porter from 350 Brewing.
