Drunk on Comics Podcast 276: Mylar-world
Hey faithful listeners! Linz and Josh are back this week, after a much needed vacation, and decided to let Tony have the weekend off, so it’s just the dynamic duo this week. Linz starts off the podcast by clearing up some blatant fallacies from last weeks podcast, mainly that she did not regenerate in to Derek (and being a dude would suck).
Linz and Josh dove deep in to some books this week with reviews of Spy Seal #1 from Rich Tommosa (a great spy genre book staring anthropomorphic animals in a classic art style) and Dark Nights: Metal #1 (from the other dynamic duo, Snyder and Capullo). Definitely check out both books before you listen the podcast, because it is full of spoilers galore. Unless you want a mediocre rundown of the books before you read it, then listen away. Linz was able to lay some knowledge on Josh about the Challengers of the Unknown, and now they are both better people.
Not a lot of news this week, but topics that were covered were Netflix’s acquisition of Millarworld, Shazam! movie details, and John Leguizamo’s upcoming comic book.
Best on Tap this week was Andy Kubert’s variant cover for Dark Nights: Metal #1 and Booze and a Book was Spy Seal #1 with a classic martini (shaken, not stirred).
