Drunk on Comics Podcast 282: Absinthe Makes The Heart Grow Fonder

Tony is back from his Euro-trip, and explained a bit about all the fun he had.  While Spain was fun, Oktoberfest was the real life version of Heaven.  Or more like Valhalla with the halls of beer and good cheer.    Linz and him got back into the grove of things to bring another great installment of the podcast.

Tony brought up the great stories being set in Marvel Legacy #1.  It is a stepping stone for the next phase in the comic book line up, and so far its great.   The key parts of 1 million B.C. Avengers, to Logan being back, as well as the Richard’s kids were just a few of the positives from this book.   Tony is really intrigued with how Avengers are going to play out with the addition to the new member that has been there since the inception of the team.

Then Linz reviewed Batman: The Murder Machine.   With everything going on with the Dark Nights Metal story arc, these one shots are a must read.   Seeing Batman combined with other powers is not only great, but potentially scary.   They both now see that if Batman were to have any power more than what he already has, he becomes a huge dick.  The “what ifs” being played out in this story arc make both Tony and Linz wanting these books to come out sooner than they do.

Booze and a Book also had the pairing of Batman: The Murder Machine with a shot of Absinthe.
