Drunk on Comics Podcast 153: Aging One Day At A Time Like Old Man Logan (and Derek)
Tony Derek and Matt got down to business after a much needed weekend off to get you back in the swing of comic book reviews and news with a drunken twist. To start out, Matt was able to review Sandman Overture #5, which was so amazing, he and Tony can actually be OK with the book coming out almost 1.5 years after it was expected too. The pages are stunning and the story is one for the ages.
Tony was also mesmerized by the pages of Old Man Logan #1. The story is another great part of Secret Wars, and may be the best there is in this event. And in particular, the scenes with Emma Frost really kill it, making this a must read for any Wolverine fan. And finally, the book we are not supposed to talk about, but we will anyways, is Fight Club #1. It comes as a sequel straight out of the movies, and the trippy vibe of the original is definitely an added bonus to this new tale.
Indie Turnpike was Dark Gods #6, wrapping up the first tale of Order and Chaos, and how Story has power for those that can tap into its energy.
Booze and a Book was the pairing of Fat Tire and They’re Not Like Us.
