Drunk on Comics Podcast 155: Delusions of a Blue Raspberry Popsicle

Linz, Matt and New Derek were able to show up alive, while Tony was half dead today recovering from his pub golf crawl. They had a blast this week though recording and coming up with booze and a book. But first to some reviews. Linz talked about Nameless #4, but the guys couldn’t get past the giant vagina monster on the cover page. Derek happily reviewed the new Constantine The Hellblazer #1 book as well as made Matt happy someone else besides him had watch the show. Matt explored the world of Elizabethan times in 1602 Witch Hunter Angela. This continuation from Neil Gaiman’s run is just as good as the rest of the series. Tony reviewed Spider-verse #2 of the secret wars event. It is interesting that the spiders are starting to remember that they shouldn’t be in the same place and what consequences that might have. Plus Spider-Ham is awesome.

Indie Turnpike was The Dark Crystal: Creation Myths Vol. 1. It is such a great book, exploring more of the great world that Jim Henson helped create and which gave many kids nightmares for years to come.

Booze and a Book had the pairing of Watchmen and a Dr. Manhatten (which is a Manhattan garnished with 2 cherries and a blue raspberry popsicle)
