Drunk on Comics podcast 156: Tony Wants To Be The Butt
The Illuminati have been on the hunt for the secret formula of long life for years. Now that they have been listening to the podcast, they think Derek may have found it, which is why old Derek has been absent. However, he came out of hiding to join Linz and Tony this week on the podcast.
Derek. leaving it until the last minute, talked about Empty Zone #1. It is definitely a mature book, with everything from T and A to gore all in one panel alone. Linz was all about rock and roll this week with her review of Black Canary #1. She doesn’t really know why the canary is on the run, or why she doesn’t call her super friends to help, but she likes this bad-ass chick and the ill temper manner in which she thinks. Tony got on a tangent today about robots. Particularly combining robots, which is why he reviewed Transformers #42, which is the epilogue to the combiner wars story arc, and one of the best stories Tony has read with giant robots.
Indie Turnpike was RunLoveKill #3 (which also had cool robots, so Tony had to talk about that)
Booze and a Book had the pairing of Coors Banquet Beer with Manifest Destiny #15 in what could be the most time spent on this segment in the history of our show.
