Drunk on Comics Podcast 160: Linz’s Imaginary Friend

Tony, Derek, Linz and her “friend” all were in the studio this week to record another episode of the podcast. They started off topic for a bit longer than usual, but were able to pull it in and do some reviews. Derek got into an awesome review of Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War #1. This book came out the other week, but it was so good it needed to be talked about. With the rings crossing over to the Star Trek Universe to find new wielders, the Spectrum War seems to be starting in the right direction.

Linz reviewed the Book of Death #1, which is her first book in the Valiant universe. She learned a bit about the Eternal warrior, Ninjak, Unity as well as the other characters found within. And the book is just as good as everything else Valiant has been putting out so far. Tony had the opportunity to speak of the amazing art of Godzilla in Hell #1. And the art pretty much speaks for itself with this book, since there is no dialogue. But with what you would expect from the title, it follows Godzilla on his path of destruction through Hell.

Booze and a Book was Kozy Yak brewery’s State of Confusion paired with Usagi Yojimbo #147, because if Tony was an avid reader of the series he may know what is going on, but instead he is really confused on what is going on in this story.
