Drunk on Comics Podcast 162: Who You Gonna Call
Linz. Matt, and Tony are recovering from the party known as Burger Bash, which as the name states, was all about awesome burgers. So working on half of a food comma, they had some great discussions on beginnings and endings of books along with multiple dimensions in this episode. Tony talked about the Ghostbuster’s crossover with itself in Ghostbusters Get Real #2. In this, the “comic book” Ghostbusters are working out why the “90s animated cartoon show” Ghostbusters are in their New York, and what that means with the ghosts who traverse worlds.
Matt read something that came out a while ago, but was interesting enough; George R.R. Martin’s The Hedge Knight graphic novel. It is a prequel story of A Song of Fire and Ice, better known as Game of Thrones. Linz brought up Shrinking Man #1. While we did the math to figure out how long this character has been shrinking, it made us realize why isn’t there anyone to help him. It also proves the point to kill all spiders in your house, just in case you might end up shrinking.
Indie Turnpike was a happily ever after with Fables #150. This huge book saw the last story of this amazing tale, along with many other character arcs being wrapped up within this volume.
Booze and a Book was Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars #3 paired with a Mind Eraser, because this true canon on the original secret wars got forgotten just like after having a few of these drinks.
