Drunk on Comics Podcast 177: Cash Cow
With everyone else having prior plans, Tony and Derek were left alone to contemplate life, the universe and everything in between. There was many topics from their youth that made them excited to talk about on this episode.
Starting off with the amazing animation of Don Bluth and his Kickstarter to get a Dragon’s Lair movie had them reminiscing of some of his other great movies. The Secret of NIMH being his first animated movie as well as countless other classics like Land Before Time and All Dogs Go To Heaven. These cartoons had some dark themes in them as well, so we hope his Kickstarter gets funded. We also discussed Dan Dougherty’s Kickstarter for Touching Evil, and a few of the extra incentives for it.
Taking up a lot of discussion was some casting news with He-Man, Walking Dead, and Power Rangers. As Tony had a huge nerd boner for the new show, both he and Derek hope its a more adult themed and not cheesy kid movie. They also talked some numbers with DC’s struggles and Marvel’s amazing October sales
Booze and a Book was Southern Bastards #12 with Wild Turkey 101. Since Derek wanted to start the podcast right, he started with this where the guys took shots throughout.
