Drunk on Comics Podcast 186: Tony Smash Studio

Well, it was inevitable that with as much junk (although Tony would say cool items) are around the studio, that eventually something would break.  After the many years of cords lying around, Tony finally broke the studio.  But all is not lost, as there are many back up recording devices to make the show.

Along with Tony this week is Linz and Derek. They start off with a review of Faith #1.  Story is one set in a more realistic world that Valiant has made with nuances aplenty for our hero.  Whether its day dreaming of superhero battles, rescuing a prince in distress, or not wanting to move from town because of the awesome comic book shop, it is all relative to what one would think about when becoming a hero.  The artwork has many hidden gems to really bring the character to life, and the interactions with fellow co-workers show how much having a secret identity can be mundane at times.   Definitely a great book that will continue the rise of the Valiant Universe.

Hanna Barbara is also getting a little TLC from DC with updated takes on the old school properties.  We are really looking forward to what they have to offer.  Deadpool just wont stop with helping save the world, one ball at a time, coming from his latest PR for the upcoming movie.  If the movie is half as good as the promos, it will kick ass.

Also Tony went on his last rant of Lucifer, and will now just sit back and question the people who make decisions at Fox.  He was also disappointed by the lack of skills by friends at a party recently playing Super Mario Bros. 3, which lead into a discussion of Mario suits and games.

Booze and a Book was Old Man Logan #1 with a Brain Grenade, which is a big mouth Mickey’s bottle.
