Drunk on Comics Podcast 189: Not What Linz Said

The cast of usual suspects convened this week when Tony, Linz, and Derek met up to discuss the random assortment of thoughts swirling through their booze soaked minds.

The discussion started out with a review of Tomboy #1 from Mia Goodwin, released through Action Lab. The art was amazing and the crew discussed whether this was done through digital or traditional methods. Linz tried really hard to remain spoiler free when discussing the story line, which was hard for her (almost as hard as it is for her to pronounce names correctly). Everyone agreed that the story was intriguing and they want to find out what happens next. You can check out Tomboy #1 on Noisetrade.com and find out what all the fuss was about.

From there the randomness went in to overdrive as the gang covered subjects like the limit on spoilers (including a spoiler filled discussion of the mid-season premier of The Walking Dead), Image’s upcoming magazine, toys, conventions, more Deadpool, and what DC really means by Rebirth.

In booze news, a couple minutes were spent talking about Anheuser buying out the Goose Island brewpub, and how that will effect the integrity of the beer coming out of the Chicago staple.

Booze and book was Snowfall #1 (Image) paired with Ski Patrol from Brewery Vivant.
