Drunk on Comics Podcast 217: Mouth Full of Marbles

Linz and Tony started the show with thoughts on musicals in real life.   Tony now wants to make this happen, so fair warning, that might come up in a future episode.  But until that happens, they have some good news for the week.  They also got into a few books that are a must read at your local comic shop.

Tony talked about Aspen, and the comics that they are publishing.  For new readers, they can pick up Aspen Universe Revelations #1 in stores, as well as #2 to hit stands later this week.  Linz picked up a huge book, which has so much content that she didn’t even know where to start.  The Black Monday Murders #1 by Jonathan Hickman is so large, it has its own table of contents.  Tony also informed her who Mammon was, and they speculate what all the extra content means.

They also got into some fan fiction, and what that means to some of the creative works that are made on behalf of devotees of the craft.   They also discussed some of the plans for the new Masters of the Universe film.   Robert Kirkman announced an end to Invincible, and how its good to go out when you want to with your own creative comic.

Booze and a Book is the pairing of Suicide Squad #1 with a Whiskey Sour.
