Drunk on Comics Podcast 341: Fade To Black
It’s Halloween Time! The most merriest time of year. Tony has been out celebrating with his amazing costume of being “snapped by Thanos,” that Linz helped him pull together last minute. There were surprisingly not that many comic books that came out this week celebrating the occasion, but the group got into some really great books that you should all pick up.
Tony spoke highly of another great book form Ahoy Comics with High House issues #1 and #2. So far he has enjoyed all that has come out of this new publisher and this book goes in directions he didn’t predict. He also got into Old Lady Harley #1, which had many good one-liners throughout.
Linz was tasked with reviewing The Books of Magic #1. Like all of the other Sandman Universe books, Tony has read them all, so wanted to have Linz’s thoughts before getting into the subject. This was very much a starting point and there was much more that both Tony and Linz wanted, but they are sure in the coming books things will pick up. She also discussed The Return of Wolverine #2, which really is lacking concrete information. It is good, but really confusing. It is also another book that will hopefully reveal what is going on soon.
Booze and a Book was the pairing of a Jager and Monster drink paired with X-men Black: Juggernaut.
