After a brief hiatus caused by family obligations and a holiday revolving around the consumption of turkey and mass consumerism, the boys are back in town. And by boys, we mean one boy and one girl. Or one man-boy and one woman.
The DoC break started right before the death of comic legend Stan Lee, so the podcast started with some conversation about the man who will always hold a special place in our hearts. You can also check out Linz’s prior post about Stan.
In a rare occurrence, Linz had two books to review this week. Tony had zero. Well, he had one that he saved for booze and a book. It’s like our version of a sweeps week episode. First up for review was Ironheart #1 (Marvel – w. Eve Ewing, a. Kevin Libranda). The book started off a bit formulaic, but got a bit in depth in to Riri’s character at the end. Will this book continue more like the first or the second part of the book? Linz will definitely be picking up the second issue to find out.
The second book Linz reviewed was Web of Venom: Carnage Born (Marvel – w. Donny Cates, a. Danilo Beyruth). Check out the podcast for the full review, but know this: THE ART IN THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! Linz is fully on board for wherever this book is going.
