Review by Scott Keys

Unity #4 is another hit from the team of Matt Kindt, Doug Braithwaite and Brian Reber! This is what everything has led to: Harada’s comeuppance! I’m blown away each issue at the masterful orchestration of Kindt’s scripts! There are so many moving pieces, not even Harada can keep up until it’s too late.

We follow our rag-tag bunch try to retrieve the X-O armor from Harada’s clutches, and eventually succeed, by providing a united front against Harada-san. There is even a beautifully choreographed sequence done by Braithwaite and Reber that had little to no dialogue, but felt like something straight out of an action movie! Excellent storytelling all around by this amazing creative team! Now that the X-O armor has been retrieved and returned to Aric (who’s now on a short-leash under the control of our team & MI-6), I can’t wait to see what happens in the Valiant Universe, because you know that Harada will find some way to exact his revenge for the dishonor perpetrated by Gilad, Ninjak, and Livewire!

Unity #4 was an absolutely brilliant book, wrapping up the first arc of what I personally hope is a long-running title! I’m hard pressed to think of a better creative team to put this book together than the incomparable team of Kindt, Braithwaite, and Reber!
