Drunk on Comics Podcast 102: Live From Motor City Comic Con 2014
This past weekend, we had the honor of doing our podcast in front of a live audience at Motor City Comic Con. We also had a panel to talk a little bit about the wonders of the internet, as well as a little bit about ourselves. Fair warning, the sound may be a little off, since we are not in our studio recording this, but with a touch of editing, Tony was able to get the sound levels on par with our high inebriated standards.
Tony started off with the one-shot of Tales from The Con from Image, which is a funny book made up of a lot of punny stereotypes of comic book conventions. Matt discussed the lord of the rings in Iron Man #25. Derek brought us 2 years in the future with The Walking Dead #27, where Carl is still an emo little shit.
Indy turnpike was the huge (we are not kidding, this book is 11×17 size) book Justice Liberty/Cosmic Scoundrels.
Booze and a Book had Afterlife with Archie #5 paired with the delicious Delirium Nocturnum.
We had a blast meeting many fans as well as many people within the comic book community. Stay tuned to many interviews that we were able to get from the convention.
