Drunk on Comics Podcast 249: Linz and Her Beasts

The group had a pretty good episode with all things considered this past weekend while they all enjoyed some fun celebrating St/ Patrick’s Day.  Tony especially had too much, but Linz and Josh caught up while doing shots of booze infused whip cream throughout the show.

Linz started out with a review of I Hate Fairyland #11.   This had Tony questioning the original title with the F-bomb in it.   Regardless if it was a variant cover, the book is on the adult side with art that looks more for a younger audience.  She is really excited of the new direction the book is going in, realizing the same story line the series was having would get stale quickly.

Tony reviewed Power Rangers #13.   With having reviewed issues before and still being stunned at the epic story that is unfolding, he started to wonder if there are some clues to the new movie coming out next week.   This also lead to his review of Beauty and the Beast, and thoughts of more Disney remakes.

X-men were discussed again, which seems to be a reoccurring theme in recent weeks.   Could there be a possible home for them at HBO.  The team sure hopes so.  And what about some new stories set in the matrix world.   Tony and Linz agree there is much they could tell with the war of the machines.

Booze and a Book was the pairing of Green Lanterns #19 with a Yuengling Black and Tan.
