Drunk on Comics Podcast 363: Tony’s Secret Origin
There was a full house in the podcasting “studio” for this episode. DoC would like to welcome their newest addition, Anthony! That’s right, Charles has been replaces as the new kid on the block, but that just means that he has more cred now. Charles, your moving up in the world, aren’t you lucky! You get a little insight in to the newbie right off that bat, so ladies, I hope you are listening!
This week the crew reviewed a couple of comics. First up was Major X (Marvel, w./a. Rob Liefeld). This book was, well, Liefeldian. Lots of action right of that bat, and pouches and 8-packs galore! We think it will definitely need another book to get going, but we are willing to stick with it.
Next up on the slate was War of the Realms #1 (Marvel, w. Jason Aaron, a. Russell Dauterman). While the dialogue was borderline cheesy, the book really dives head first in to the event. Tony was pleased with the book, Linz and Charles were a little more on the fence. This could be because Tony has kept up with the ongoing Thor series, so if you have the chance, do a little pre-reading before getting in to this book.
Booze and Book this week was Ghostbusters 35th Anniversary #1 (IDW) paired with an Ecto Cooler (in cocktail form of course!).
