Drunk on Comics Podcast 450: D.O.C Is Life

We reached episode 450! And in true Drunk on Comics fashion, we barely mention it. Because, really, what is time anymore but a construct put in place to make us feel bad…….it has nothing to do with us just being completely unaware of things at all times. No…not that at all.

But we still stuff this episode full of all kinds of geeky goodness! Tony reviews Man Goat & The Bunny Man #1 (Zenescope; Story by Joe Brusha, Ralph Tedesco, & Dave Franchini ). Zenescope is always good for a sexy and strong female character, so Tony was not exactly sure what this book would entail when he picked it up, but man was he glad he did. Horror…comedy…anthropomorphic animals….so many great tastes that taste great together. A definite must read!

Linz reviewed Spider-Man: Spider’s Shadow (Marvel; Story by Chip Zdarsky, Pasqual Ferry, & Matt Hollingsworth). Two words that should really get right to the heart of any Marvel fan….What If? What If’s have always been fun and interesting one-shots that cover things that comic readers love talking about…what if this happened instead of that? Chip relaunches the current iteration of What If’s with a solid story about our favorite spider. And then best part…it is not just one issue! We can’t wait to see what else is coming.

And of course, there was much talk of news, movies, tv shows, and anything else we felt like delving in to.

Booze and a Book this week was Home #1 from Image paired with Single Barrel Añejo Agave Spirit from Eastern Kille Distillery.
