Drunk on Comics Podcast 171: Comic Books That Feel Like Saturday Morning

Tony, Derek and Linz had a bit too much fun celebrating the polish holiday of drinking. Matt also joins in to deliver this weeks episode of the podcast. Tony started off reviewing the amazing Justice League #44. There is so much going on in this book that it is a must pick up for anyone wanting a great story and killer action. Things from Bat-god, to Nega-Superman and Death-Flash make this book crazy insane. Linz was really enjoying Jem and The Holograms: The Outrageous Annual. Within the book, the different stories have the characters drawn as many a variety of old school cartoons. It was a fun take on an already amazing book.

Derek reviewed From Under Mountains #1, which is set in the world created by 8house. There are definitely some similarities to Game of Thrones in this fantastical book that needs to be looked at for the great artwork alone. After what seems like a decade in the making, Sandman Overture #6 finally hit the shelves in comic book stores. Matt didn’t think Neil Gaiman would be able to wrap up everything that needed to be done after the last issue, but he did it with flying colors. We all agree there needs to be more stories set in this amazing world.

Booze and a Book was Zodiac StarForce #2 paired with Rumchata
