Drunk on Comics Podcast 212: Gotta Catch ‘Em All
Tony is joined by none other than Derek, as they explore their virtual world around them, one Poke Stop at a time. Besides the two getting right back in the swing of things as if they have not been apart, they dedicated this entire show to the newest game to hit cellphones; Pokemon Go. Both have been playing, or at least trying to play when the servers are cooperating, and they have some honest opinions on the game.
They went out to a giant event in the city that saw many thousands of people trying to catch the little critters. While walking around, they met all sorts of people. There were vendors selling shirts, stuffed animals, food carts, and a mutual nerdiness that is only seen at events such as comic cons.
Tony also had Derek try to guess the name of the pokemon, to some hilarious results. They both talked about some of the great stories coming out from the common interest in a virtual reality walking game. They also gave some tips, and some thoughts on what they hope to see in future updates for the game.
