Drunk on Comics Podcast 319: Interview with Dan Dougherty

Drunk on Comics loves bringing you the in-depth interviews of comic creators in a no holds barred fashion.  Tony was joined by Derek Ray this week to chat with Dan Dougherty over a multitude of on-goings for this creator.   The audio may be a bit spotty at times, but it is what it is, when Dan takes time out of his busy traffic-filled ride home from C4 to chat with Drunk on Comics.

A big point that was talked about this episode was the new Touching Evil Volume Two Kickstarter happening right now.  Dan talks about a bit of the writing process and ideas he has explored from this comic, as well as where he hopes to see it go.   But that is not all that is discussed.

He also has 2 new books that were talked about. One which debuted the other week at Motor City Comic Con, Floppy Cop, can only be described as zany and fun.  The other which was in a limited special variant cover release at Cherry Capital Comic Con, is Cosa Nostra.   Both are very different in more ways than one.   But besides the differences,  the similarities shine through when you see what a collaborating person Dan is with his other comic book creator counterpoints.

The guys also discussed some of the crazy things that only happen at comic conventions.  Particularly Comic Con Karaoke.  Dan has been a proud member of Satellite Kilt, and we may have seen the reigning tag team karaoke champions of both Johnny Unicorn and Dick Manly finally throw in the towel.   This as well as many other random topics that go all over the place are part of this weeks episode.  But you will have to listen to find out more.

Dan Dougherty can be found at the Beardo Comics website, as well as Twitter @Beardocomics.   His Kickstarter for Touching Evil Volume Two can be found here.
