Drunk on Comics Podcast 336: The Bata-wang
As most everyone has heard by now, Bruce Wayne is in fact a whole male. From the pages of Batman: Damned #1, we got right in to the big topic that everyone was talking about. But don’t let that distract you from an amazing story with art that is superb. It definitely is a must buy, especially if you can get your hands on a first printing, because those are going to be collector items with the first appearance of the newest bat member.
Tony also discussed Mister Miracle #11, which had so much going for it that he really didnt want to spoil the best parts. The veggie tray was a great addition, by the way. Linz talked about Return of Wolverine #1. It left her and Tony confused for sure. They both hope it picks up in the next issue, because there is a lot left to find out what has happened with Logan. Tony was happy with the first book in the Infinity Warps line with Soldier Supreme #1. It is a ton of “what ifs” mashed together to bring some unique takes on Marvel characters.
Booze and a Book was Dick Tracey: Dead or Alive #1 paired with a Stroh’s, because they are both old timey.
