I’m not too afraid to admit that I like that international sensation that is Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call me Maybe”. That was a good summer in 2012. Happy summer love. My fondest memory was with my girlfriend and we saw the Detroit Tigers play in Detroit and in Pittsburg nearly days apart (which is amazing since they play in different Leagues). We listed and screamed out this damn song so much, we thought it was going to go old and die. It didn’t – for us.
Another good summer was 1992. This was the first summer that me and my friends would hang out smoke some blunts and listen to Nine Inch Nails Pretty Hate Machine album. Yeah, it came out in 1989, but then like now it takes some time to find out what’s current. Anyways, one of those memorable songs from that album was “Head Like a Hole”.
What a mind fuck someone showed me today as someone took the audio track from Carly’s song and put over it Trent’s lyrics to Head Like a Hole. The articles title, in the attached link, pretty much says it all. If you liked either song, please take 3 minutes to listen. You won’t me disappointed. ‘Nuff said.
