GREEN ARROW (Colorado St) vs Beast (Missouri)

Hank McCoy is no stranger to dodging projectiles.  Years of training in the Danger Room and his mutant strength and agility were making it very difficult for his archer-enemy.

“Hey-nonny-nonny?  I see Robin Hood, but where are your merry men?”

“Laugh it up fuzzball!”  The Green Arrow grabs three arrows from his quiver, place them between between his fingers.

“Oh indeed I will laugh when you stop trying to turn me into a blue porcupine!

The Green Arrow pulls back his string and lets them fly, one by one towards his target.   The first arrow goes high in the air, not even close to hitting his target.

“Now that was just a poor shot master archer.”  The second arrow comes in low forcing the Beast to leap in the air.  Beast intended to grab a tree branch above his head but immediately diverts into a back flip as the third arrows comes streaking towards his face.

As the Beast lands he asks ““What is your intention?  Do you need a new fireside rug for your den and azure is the color your need to complete the feng shui?”

As he is speaking the first arrow descends and the Beast makes a quick side step allowing the arrow to land harmlessly at his feet.  Beast is about to make another witty retort, when… KABOOM!

The beast flys hard into a tree and staggers to his feet.  Animal instincts kick in and the Beast throws a broken tree limb at his opponent, while sees the Green Arrow notch another shot and fire.  As the missle flys for the Beasts chest a blue paw snatches it out of the air and the tree limb slams hard into the Green Arrow.

The scientific part of McCoy’s brain, or maybe his catlike curiosity, notices the head of this arrow was blunted.  Looking closer at the tip he wonders why an enemy trying to kill him would use blunted arrows.  He forms his conclusion rather rapidly as he hears the hissing sound of gases being released.

Sleeping gas arrow.

As the Beast’s world sinks into darkness he glimpses the Green Arrow stand up, battered, but very much victorious.
