Ultron (New Mexico) vs Firestar (Harvard)

Due to a typo on his Deathmatch invitation, Firestorm didn’t receive his notice to appear. Instead, we got this…

It’s one of the craziest match-ups we’ve seen so far! The star of this summer’s biggest crossover event (no, it’s not Rocket Raccoon) vs the star of the Spider-Friends cartoon (no, it’s not Spider-Man. Or Iceman. Or even that stupid little dog)!

It’s Ultron vs Firestar!

Without warning or reason, for Ulton requires neither, the deadly robot fires a concussive blast to the back of the red headed super heroine.

Due to her years of training, Firestar is barely phased, and quickly takes to the air to assess the situation. Ultron continues to unleash a bevy of shots at her, and is able to connect with almost everyone of them. The young Anjelica Jones can only withstand so many hits, and right before Ulton unloads his encephalo-ray on her, she has an epiphany.

Ultron’s core is powered by a small internal nuclear furnace, so using her power to manipulate radiation and fire, Firestar creates a miniature nuclear bomb inside of her foe, obliterating his existence entirely.

As Firestar limps away from the Deathmatch arena, she whispers, “I’ve been disappointing readers for years. You should thank me I stopped you before you were allowed to ruin things for Avengers fans as well.”
