Drunk on Comics Podcast 275: Podcast and Chill

Tony is joined this week by some old faces (or voices for this podcast) with Matt And Derek joining him to discuss a plethora of nerdy nuggets to satisfy you during the next week.   It’s always great to have former co-hosts come back and give their takes and share their knowledge in the many facets of the comic book industry.

In Off the Shelf, Matt reviewed Inhumans: Once and Future Kings #1.  This limited series involves the long strange history of the Inhumans and brings new content to the dynamic brothers of both Black Bolt and Maximus.   With Tony and Matt’s knowledge of Inhumans, they see this as a good starting place for those who want to be familiar with the Royal Family.

Tony reviewed Mister Miracle #1.  With no knowledge of the character, he learned a lot from this issue.  Luckily Matt was shedding some light from what he knew of Scott Free that he acquired from cartoons as well as DC wikis (except for getting the pun of his name up until recording).    The pages are gorgeous and the repeated panels of “Darkseid is” leaves a foreboding presence that will continue this story of death and escape.

They got a bit into finances of Netflix and what that  means for the company.   They discussed the many shows that has made Netflix an original content provider, and what Disney has in store with leaving the streaming juggernaut.  They also loved the few pics of Cable that have surfaced and gave their hopes of what will transpire in the new Deadpool movie.

Booze and a Book was Elsewhere #1 paired with a Delirium beer brewed by Brouwerij Huyghe.
