It’s been a long week, and there was some actual news in the comic realm this past week. The group had a lot to choose from to talk about. Well, mainly Tony found a lot of things to talk about. And while the group did get some good licks in on his account, they had some great books that came out this past week as well.
Tony spoke of how dark The Batman Who Laughs #3 is. This series is top notch on writing, and is going places that are hard to predict. The Grim Knight has more action in this one, with a great confrontation with Bruce. This is the Batman book everyone needs to read.
And while speaking of Batman, learning his bad nickname in high-school was one of the many wonderful things that came out of Wonder Twins #1. This book doesn’t take itself too seriously, have a sense of humor in the more serious Justice League mythos.
Booze and a Book this week was the pairing of Age of X-man: Next Gen #1 with a strawberry daiquiri.
